FOX International Channels Europe Names Katrin Kaljuvee New Regional Manager for the Baltic States



Ms. Kaljuvee arrives to FIC from the Estonian cable operator Starman and she will report to Mrs. Ase Ytreland, Managing Director for Nordic and Baltics Region

Tallin, 17 January 2012 -- FOX International Channels (FIC) Europe, which distributes TV channels and digital services worldwide and is the sister company of 20th Century FOX Studios, is pleased to announce it has hired Mrs. Katrin Kaljuvee as Regional Manager for Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.

In her new post, Ms. Kaljuvee will be based in Tallinn (Estonia) and will report to Mrs. Ase Ytreland, Managing Director of FOX International Channels for Nordic & Baltic Region. She will be in charge of the commercial strategy of the company in the three Baltic States, which includes the management of the channels distributed in the three countries: FOX Life, FOX Crime, National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Channel HD and Baby TV.

“Ms. Kaljuvee is a skilled professional with a very good knowledge of the Pay TV business thanks to her experience with the renowned television distributor, Starman, in Estonia. She also has a good understanding of the Latvian and Lithuanian media markets. She will continue our efforts to grow our business in the region, and further establish FIC as a strong local player in the Baltic media market”, says Mrs. Ase Ytreland.

Over the last seven years, Katrin Kaljuvee has been Content Manager Cable-TV in Starman, the Estonian tele communication company leader and the biggest Pay TV operator, where she was in charge of the content strategy, content acquisitions, as well as the company’s legal issues and HR-work.

Mrs. Kaljuvee has a degree in law from the Tallinn School of Economics.

At the same time, FIC announces that Ms Karoli Hindriks, who was its Regional Manager in the Baltic Region, is leaving the company on 31 January 2012. Ms. Hindriks has been instrumental in FIC’s recent growth in the Baltics and is leaving to pursue other opportunities. “Ms. Hindriks has done a great entrepreneurial job for FIC in the Baltic, and is now pursuing new opportunities elsewhere. We are thankful for her efforts and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors”, says Mrs. Ytreland.
