
FIC debuted in Latin America in 1993, with the launch of a single regional FOX-branded network. NGC launched its first channel in Scandinavia, the UK and Australia in 1997, STAR channels were launched in 1991, and the LAPTV networks first aired in 1993. Today our business has grown into an integrated operation that includes all of these separate entities and distributes 324 channels under 31 brands, in basic, premium, HD and digital. We also own and operate the .FOX Networks, a global online ad sales house and 4 majority-owned production houses. In total our channels reach over 1.3 billion viewing subscribers, our online business over 100 million unique users every month and we produce over 10000 hours of content across genres each year.

Our business today has grown into an integrated operation that distributes 176 channels under 21 channel brands, in basic, premium and HD. We also own and operate .FOX Networks, the largest online ad sales house in the region, and 2 production houses – FOX TeleColombia and FOX Toma 1. In addition, we provide extensive services for NBC Universal's 3 networks in the region.

FIC’s operations in Europe and Africa were established in 1997, with the launch of the National Geographic Channel in the UK and Scandinavia. Our business today has grown into a business that distributes 159 channels under 15 brands in basic, premium and HD. In select markets we also operate .FOX Networks, and represent myspace.com in sales. We manage The History Channel on behalf of AETN in Italy, and FOX News on behalf of News Corporate in select markets.

The Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern business was pioneered in 1993 by the launch of FOX in Japan. It was later followed by the launch of National Geographic Channel in Australia in 1997, and following the 2009 merger with News Corporation’s STAR group, has become the largest channels’ network in the region. FIC currently operates 187 pay-TV channels as part of a 26-brand bouquet pan-regionally. In the Middle East, we also operate 4 free-to-air channels reaching over 50 million FTA households. In some Asian markets, FIC represent select NBC Universal TV properties.
